1. Introduction

Cognipeer may use cookies, pixels, tags, web beacons, local storage and similar technologies. Depending on their configuration, these technologies may store or access information on your device and may process identifiers, IP address, browser and device information, pages viewed, interactions, timestamps, referring URLs, consent choices and related usage data.

Some technologies are strictly necessary to provide a function requested by you, transmit communications, secure the Site or remember privacy choices. Non-essential technologies, including optional analytics or advertising technologies, are not activated before valid prior consent where consent is required.

Cookies and similar technologies may be used to:

1. Provide, secure and maintain the Site and prevent fraud or misuse.
2. Remember language, accessibility, privacy and cookie preferences.
3. Measure Site performance and understand visitor interaction after obtaining consent where required.

A. By Source:

1. First-party technologies: set or controlled by the domain you are visiting.
2. Third-party technologies: set or controlled by another provider, for example where an authorised analytics, consent, security or embedded-content service is used.

B. By Duration:

1. Session technologies: generally expire when the browser session ends.
2. Persistent technologies: remain for a stated period, until their purpose ends or until they are deleted.

C. By Purpose:

1. Strictly Necessary: enable requested functions, security, network transmission or the recording of privacy choices.
2. Functional / Preference: remember optional choices and provide enhanced functionality.
3. Performance / Analytics: measure traffic, interaction and performance to help improve the Site.
4. Marketing / Advertising: where used, measure campaigns, support advertising or recognise activity across services.

3. Categories of Technologies Used

The categories below describe technologies that may be used on the Site. Inclusion of a category does not by itself confirm that a particular technology is currently active. The current technologies must be identified by name in the table and consent settings before publication.

Strictly Necessary Technologies: used only where required to deliver a service requested by you, secure the Site, balance traffic, prevent abuse or record privacy choices.

Functional / Preference Technologies: used to remember optional choices, such as language or interface preferences, where enabled.

Performance / Analytics Technologies: used to understand traffic and interaction only after consent where required.

Marketing / Advertising Technologies: used only if Cognipeer implements advertising, remarketing or campaign-measurement tools and obtains any consent required before activation.

4. Legal Basis and Consent

The rule that governs storing or accessing information on a device is distinct from the legal basis for any subsequent processing of personal data. Both requirements are applied where relevant.

1. Strictly Necessary Technologies: prior consent is not requested only where storage or access is used solely to transmit a communication or is strictly necessary to provide a service expressly requested by you. Any related personal data is processed under an applicable lawful basis, such as providing the requested service, complying with law or Cognipeer’s legitimate interests in securing and operating the Site.
2. Functional, Analytics and Marketing Technologies: where these technologies are not strictly necessary, they are activated only after valid prior consent. Consent is also the legal basis for associated personal data processing where required.
3. Consent Standards: consent must be freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous. It is not inferred from silence, inactivity, continued browsing or pre-selected options. Withdrawing consent must be as easy as giving it.

Depending on the visitor and processing, the following frameworks may apply:

1. European Economic Area: the GDPR and national rules implementing Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive.
2. United Kingdom: the UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
3. Türkiye: Law No. 6698 and applicable guidance and decisions concerning cookies, transparency, explicit consent and international transfers.
4. Other Jurisdictions: applicable local requirements, including consent or opt-out rights where legally required.

Cognipeer records consent, refusal and withdrawal choices where necessary to demonstrate compliance. Non-essential technologies must not be enabled before a valid choice is recorded, and a new choice must be obtained where a material change makes the previous consent insufficient.

5. Managing Cookie Choices

The consent mechanism should offer clear and equally accessible options to accept all optional technologies, reject non-essential technologies or customise choices by purpose. Optional categories must be disabled by default.

Most browsers also allow you to block or delete cookies. Browser controls may affect Site functions and do not replace the Site’s consent mechanism where consent is legally required. Instructions are available from:

5.1. Cookie and Technology Details

The table below must identify the technologies actually used on the Site, including their name, purpose, provider, duration and category. It must be kept consistent with the consent mechanism and updated whenever the configuration changes.

Cognipeer should confirm whether Google Tag Manager or another tag-management tool is used on the Site. If such a tool is used, the tags, cookies, local-storage keys, pixels and recipients activated through it should be confirmed by the relevant technical team and entered below before publication.

6. Third-Party Technologies and Separate Environments

6.1. Google Tag Manager

Cognipeer should confirm whether Google Tag Manager is used on the public Site and, if so, which tags are configured through it. The use of Google Tag Manager would not by itself establish that Google Analytics, advertising or another particular tag is used.

Tags that are not strictly necessary must remain blocked until the relevant consent is obtained. The tag configuration, triggers, consent mode, destinations and data fields must be reviewed whenever the container is changed.

6.2. External Links and Embedded Content

The Site links to a Google Calendar booking page and to external Google Maps pages. When you choose to follow an external link, the destination provider may use its own cookies and technologies under its own privacy information.

If a map, video, booking tool, social plugin or other third-party content is embedded in the Site in future, it must remain blocked until consent where required, or be implemented through a privacy-preserving click-to-load mechanism.

6.3. Product and Account Environments

Studio, Pulse, Console, Developer Hub, sign-in, account and customer-operated environments may use authentication cookies, local storage, product analytics and other technologies that differ from those used on the public Site. For example, Cognipeer’s public Studio privacy information states that hosted Studio deployments may use PostHog for product analytics.

Those environments, including any product checkout or subscription flow, are outside this Policy and must provide appropriate product-specific cookie information and controls.

7. Recipients and International Transfers

Depending on the technologies actually enabled, information may be disclosed to the following categories of recipients:

• Website, hosting and security providers supporting the delivery and protection of the Site.
• Consent-management and preference providers recording and applying visitor choices.
• Analytics, tag-management and advertising providers only where their technologies are enabled in accordance with applicable law.
• External-service providers when you choose to follow a link, activate embedded content or use another provider’s service.

Providers may process information in countries other than the country where you are located. Where required, Cognipeer uses an applicable transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK Addendum or a mechanism recognised under Turkish data-protection law.

The confirmed providers, roles and processing locations relevant to the public Site are:
Cognipeer / WordPress and WP Consent API for first-party consent and preference management;
Google for Google Analytics 4, Google Site Kit and external Google Calendar and Google Maps services;
Cloudflare for website security, traffic delivery and abuse prevention.
These providers may process information through international infrastructure, including in the EEA, the United Kingdom, the United States and other locations, subject to their applicable service terms and transfer safeguards.

8. Retention and Consent Records

Cognipeer retains cookie-consent and preference records for 180 days to demonstrate and honour the relevant choice. The record may include the choice, timestamp, consent-text version and limited technical identifiers.

Each cookie or similar technology remains for the duration stated in the table or consent settings, unless it is deleted earlier or a shorter period is required.

Withdrawal prevents future activation of the relevant optional category. Existing technologies are removed where technically possible; you may also need to delete stored cookies through your browser settings.

Retention periods and cookie lifetimes must be reviewed when a provider, purpose or configuration changes.

9. Exercising Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, rights relating to personal data processed through cookies and similar technologies may include:

1. Access to your personal data and information about its processing.
2. Correction or deletion of inaccurate or unnecessary personal data.
3. Restriction of or objection to processing where the applicable conditions are met.
4. Data portability where applicable.
5. Withdrawal of consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out lawfully before withdrawal.
